Long Beach, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 01/23/2018 -- The National Commercial Real Estate Association announced the top U.S. cities for commercial real estate investing in 2018.
The following U.S. cities made the list:
1) New York City
2) San Francisco
3) Washington D.C.
6) Washington, D.C.
With three metropolitan cities in Texas making the 2018 list, Texas continues to be a major draw for institutional, foreign and private investors.
"In studying the patterns of commercial real estate investors throughout the U.S. and abroad, there is clearly a shift in the past 18 months in where U.S. and international investors have placed their focus" says The National Commercial Real Estate Association Founder, Michael Simpson, "There's always the usual suspects, but even in reviewing the hot spots overseas, you'll notice that investors are putting their money into cities that are pacing themselves for the future. They've taken measures to prepare for the future in the areas of city planning, infrastructure, and transportation, they have embraced the technologies of the future, and have positive trajectory," Simpson reported.
"This is monumental," Simpson stated. "Not just for our students who are training to represent these investors, but for city planners, education boards, and transportation departments as well. If cities want to attract major investors, they have to focus on the future."
