Editor Rates "Interesting" as Most Overused Media Term Better English 101 Newsletter Surveys Major Networks

Silver Spring, MD -- (ReleaseWire) -- 03/07/2018 -- Communications editor Barry Beckham says that "interesting" is the most overused word by media journalists. Beckham's calculation is based on his informal survey of major television network newscasts since January 2018.

Beckham says that all major networks as well as mid-audience stations are captivated with the use of "interesting" rather than to stretch for a more original term like "fascinating," or "thought-provoking."
